Beppe Castellani began his photographic experience in his youth, attracted by the expressive possibilities of this medium.

The humanistic and artistic studies have helped him in his path with the deepening in the first instance of the urban scapes, in all its aspects and its contradictions, operating mainly in monochromatism and maintaining a non-negligible band of production reserved for analog even with digital evolutions.

He is equally attracted to minimalist or symbolic photography, particularly in more recent times.

Known in Italy and abroad as a jazz musician, mostly with the series of albums dedicated to Italian songwriting in a jazz version of "Italian Standards" he has collaborated with important artists in the sector, including Tony Oxley, Ernst Reijeseger, Martin Mayes, and various others……

His musical career runs parallel to his photographic activity and, collaborating with the "Franco Mamone Agency" he has the possibility of filming famous musicians such as J. Mitchell, Lou Reed, and G. Mulligan in the 80s, while, as a freelancer for more years recently, other famous musicians such as B. Harris and E. Pieranunzi or well-known public figures such as P. Daverio and V. Merola.
